Humanities Researcher, blog of Melbourne University English professor Stephanie Trigg, is the latest edition to the blogscholar academic blog directory. In October 2006, Stephanie was diagnosed with early stage breast cancer and started a blog as a "meditative lifeline between the personal and the professional". Read Stephanie's story in the Brisbane Times.

"My blog is called Humanities Researcher, and it was designed to give voice to some of the labours and trials, the anxieties and the pleasures of academic life. And so I started to write about my illness in the blog, reflecting on the relationship between bodily trauma and the life of the mind, between the personal and the public."
